Formed officially in the spring of 2007 and hailing from Upstate New York, the articulate music group “FOOTNOTE” has been making its move onto the Rochester music scene and beyond. This electrified contemporary jazz-rock fusion quartet composes and performs music in the spirit of the great modern jazz bands and artists, such as Larry Carlton, Acoustic Alchemy, George Benson, Steely Dan, Jeff Lorber, The Rippingtons, Ramsey Lewis, and many more.

FOOTNOTE’s four talented musicians possess a very eclectic background that chronicles a wide variety of genres including Rock, Country, Jazz, R&B, Blues, Fusion, Progressive, and Motown.

FOOTNOTE embraces their diverse background and incorporates all these styles and influences as they compose, record, and perform their very own high-energy sound. This fresh and unique blend is also evident as heard within FOOTNOTE’s interpretations and performances of cover material as well.

FOOTNOTE’s 2008 debut CD release titled “Common Ground” contains 11 new original songs that introduces a distinctive new sound that seamlessly incorporates the eclectic musical backgrounds from all its members. “Common Ground” can be heard in and around the Upstate New York area radio airwaves and has started to catch on with the contemporary jazz community as well as fans of great music.

Although still young, FOOTNOTE has performed at many Upstate New York festivals and venues, as well as appearing on several local television programs spotlighting FOOTNOTE and it’s music. As FOOTNOTE continues onward with its musical journey, it has established a solid base upon to which FOOTNOTE is forging new territory in the true spirit of electrified contemporary jazz-rock fusion.
